Draft — effective date to be set at launch
Parcel Terrain produces informational terrain screening reports for United States land parcels. A report aggregates and visualizes publicly available data: elevation, slope, published soils, flood, wetland, and landslide mapping, and measurements derived from them.
A report is not a soil evaluation, geologic assessment, land survey, or engineering design, and you must not rely on it as one. Boundaries shown are approximate, from public GIS. Consult appropriately licensed professionals before you make development or purchase decisions.
You select a parcel, pay the listed price, and receive your report by a private link sent to the email address you provide. The link is your access: there is no account or password. Anyone who holds the link can read the report, so treat it accordingly.
Prices are shown before you order and never depend on acreage. If the analysis cannot be completed for your parcel, you are not charged. If something in a delivered report is wrong, contact us within 14 days: we correct it or refund the purchase.
You can read, download, print, and share your report and its exports for your own evaluation of the land. Don't resell reports, and don't use automated tools to bulk-collect data from this site.
Reports are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. They are built from third-party public data that carries its own errors, vintages, and gaps, and we do not warrant that any report is complete, current, or error-free.
To the maximum extent the law permits: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or any change in the value of land, even if we were told the damage was possible; and our total liability for all claims connected to a report or this site is limited to the amount you paid for the report. A report is informational screening. If a decision needs the judgment of a licensed professional — a surveyor, engineer, soil scientist, geologist, or attorney — obtain it; relying on a report instead is your choice and your risk.
You agree to indemnify us against claims by third parties that arise from your misuse of a report or this site, including presenting a report as a survey, professional assessment, or engineering document.
If something goes wrong, contact us first — most problems are fixed with a correction or a refund, and you agree to give us that chance before filing any claim. These terms are governed by the law of North Carolina, and any dispute that cannot be resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, within one year of the events that caused it. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to orders placed after it is posted. Questions: contact@parcelterrain.com or the contact form.
